The situation

Six years of honest business, a product customers genuinely loved — and a brand that looked like it was apologising for existing. A logo made in a hurry in year one, packaging that whispered on a loud shelf, a website that felt like a formality. The founder had built something real; it just didn't look like it yet.

She told us she'd started avoiding handing out her own visiting card. That sentence became the brief.

What we did — week by week

Week 1

Listened first: a brand audit, and long conversations with her actual customers. What they loved about the product became the spine of the identity — we didn't invent a brand, we surfaced one that already existed.

Weeks 2–3

The kit took shape: name treatment, logo, palette, type pair, voice, templates — every piece tested at real sizes, from a 32px favicon to a shopfront board.

The misstepWeek 3

Our first direction was gorgeous — and wrong. It photographed like a luxury brand twice her price point, and her regulars wouldn't have recognised the shop. We showed it, said so ourselves, and pulled it back. Round one was good. We did round two anyway — "good" doesn't survive on a shelf.

Weeks 4–5

Packaging and website rebuilt on the final identity. Same product, same price — but now the shelf presence and the site finally matched the quality inside the jar.

Week 6

Relaunch, with the design-and-video engine running: launch reels, a refreshed social grid, and creatives that made the before/after impossible to miss.

Their words

Two weeks after the rebrand I caught myself handing out my card just to hand it out. Six years of business — first time that happened.
